AQUARIUM!
By Phoebe & Zoey

I’m here with Zoey & Phoebe. They’re taking good care of me although Zoey likes to drag me around and use me as a seat cushion.

We spend a lot of time playing in their backyard, where they have a lot of tasty ROCKS! Then Zoey and Phoebe showed me a pug that ate so many rocks that he turned to stone (at least that’s what their human told them).

I was really disappointed that I couldn’t go with Noodle’s Mom to the Monterey Bay Aquarium; so when Zoey and Phoebe’s human cousin, Isaiah needed an extra adult to accompany him to the Aquarium, it was my chance to go.

I never knew there were so many different kinds of fish! I met some really cool Dragon seahorses that look like plants, a pregnant daddy seahorse, some crazy penguins that invited me to see what it would be like to hatch from an egg.

I also learned about Seafood WATCH (www.seafoodwatch.org) which helps people make ocean-friendly seafood choices. I met so many people who wanted know what a flat pug was doing at the aquarium & were very interested to learn about recycle dogs. I had a great time.

Next weekend we plan to go to Niles where Charlie Chaplin and Bronco Billy made movies a million years ago before the earth had sound.

We also want to visit some shelters and rescue groups (which has turned out to be more complicated than we thought; we’ll keep you updated on the situation).

For now, here are some pictures from my visit to Monterey Bay Aquarium:

  1. From Noodle's mom:

Yay! Oh, Flattie, I’m so glad you got into the aquarium. It is one of my favorite places, EVER! The aquarium’s mission is to inspire conservation of the world’s oceans and yours is to inspire conservation of recycled pets!! Seems fitting to me. Thanks for posting the seafood watch website. When I was a volunteer at the aquarium, I used to tell people about the seafood watch program and hand out pocket guides to sustainable seafood. That cart you’re sitting on was one of my favorite stations. While posted there, I would have great conversations with the visitors about saving the oceans. Ah, the memories….
    Thanks, FP.
    Safe travels, buddy!

    Zoey and Phoebe,
We were so surprised to see your picture. We are Phoebe and Kizzy and we look just like you or you look just like us. I’m Phoebe the fawn pug and my sister is Kizzy the black pug. We think you are cute. Loved your report of FlatPuglet’s visit. Great pictures too. This has been a fun project.

    Phoebe and Kizzy,
We are having so much fun with this project! We must be mirror images of eachother because we are the opposite: Zoey is the black pug & Phoebe is the fawn. It’s great to meet such cute pugs. -Z&P

    Phoebe and Zoey,

I live in Niles canyon. Maybe when you go there I can come meet you guys with my Flat Puglet. I know I’m a Dalmatain but I really love Puglet, so I pretend to be a Pug.

  5. From Zoey & Phoebe:

Oh, Miley we would love to meet you in Niles & Play. We already sent in our Niles story but we are always ready to make new friends. We plan to take FP to shelters & meet rescue groups, too. If you have any ideas for FP we would be happy to share him or even plan an outing together.
