GIANT ANCIENT THINGS
By Wilma, Brigitte + Sluggo
Wilma and Brigitte welcomed me with open paws, but Sluggo seemed a little freaked out. He did agree to pose for a picture, but after that, he was pretty much done with me.
When I arrived in Beacon Falls, my hosts were very excited to show me around. I waited for the Dad to get home from work. When the Dad arrived I got whisked off to dinner at the most awesome restaurant.

It was called The Corner Pug and it was named after the owners beloved one eyed pug Mac. Inside there were flat pugs all over the place. They had a gazillion pictures of pugs from all over. Patrons brought them in to display and for that, they got a free dessert!
People were very interested in who I was. When they found out about my mission, they bought me a beer!
My next stop was to a Museum in New Haven, CT just a short ride from Beacon Falls. It was the Yale Peabody Museum and it was filled with bones. I thought this was great until I found out I couldn’t eat them. They were dinosaur bones and were millions of years old.
There was one that was bigger than any bone I’ve ever seen.
I got to see a replica of the earth and the places I’ve been. It really put into perspective the work I have ahead of me. To travel this whole big blue marble to spread the word of recycled dogs, I am up for the challenge. This is important work.
At the museum, I also got to see a sarcophagus from ancient Egypt and a ginormous tick. They were having an exhibition the West Nile Virus. Initially I was very afraid of the tick, but then I realized it was enclosed in glass and couldn’t hurt me. So I jumped on top for a photo op. Lots of folks asked about me at the Peabody too, so I continued to spread the word.
On my last day in Beacon Falls, we went to Wilma, Brigitte and Sluggos’ human cousins’ school. I got to be the mystery reader. The human cousin was so excited to see me and his Auntie, and all the kids were very nice and polite.
We shared my mission about recycleds before we read a book called Pug Therapy. It’s about finding happiness one pug at a time.
The kids loved all the pictures of dressed up pugs. Before we left we handed out 8×10 glossies of FP signed with a pawprint and the website so the kids could follow my adventures.
My time here in Beacon Falls has come to an end, but I am staying in Connecticut. I’m heading to the place where Sluggo’s foster mom, foster bros Murphy and Duke live. My hosts call her the patron saint of pug rescue, so I think I’m in for a great time!

There are many more places my hosts would like to take me, but they know a lot folks are waiting to meet me. Wilma Brigitte and Sluggo said if I was ever in the area again, their door would be open. They also promised to help me in my mission and tell everyone they meet about recycled dogs.
